The food was excellent and great price too. The service was so quick the staff were so professional but polite and friendly. Highly recommend definitely would go again so much choice. Do book as gets busy

Staying on site next door so, booked here for our first night. Won't be the last very friendly greeting & lovely food at reasonable prices. Nice decor too.

This was our fourth visit to the Woodsman and, once again, we weren't disappointed. The staff were very friendly, polite and attentive to our needs. Our orders were taken quickly and we were eating our starters within 20 minutes of our arrival. The food was all served hot and the wait between courses was very acceptable. I can't recommend the Woodsman highly enough if you're looking for a really nice meal in a pleasant atmosphere.

Great place to eat. Lovely atmosphere, friendly efficient staff & superb food! We enjoyed Balmoral Chicken & Jack Daniel’s Chicken - both gorgeous - lovely chicken served with a beautiful sauce, veg & chunky chips or potatoes. Finished up with a Lemon Meringue Sundae which was amazing ! All good sized portions at a reasonable price & served with a smile promptly. Have eaten here many times before & never been disappointed! Looking forward to our next visit! Best to book as they were very busy,

Went in for a spot of lunch on Sunday with my wife and 2 kids. Food was excellent and generous portion sizes. Staff and management are very friendly and nothing is ever to much to ask. Kids are fussy eaters but loved this place. Will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

This is the first time I have eaten at this restaurant. I am not local to Scotland and was visiting a friend. The restaurant itself was lovely. Some restaurants try and cram as many tables as they can in an area but this was nicely spaced out. Felt relaxed as we ate. The food was amazing. Best food I have tasted for a while. The staff were polite and friendly and started a conversation with us. Definitely recommend if you are in the area! Edit... 25th August 2019. I have now been here twice. Second time round was just as pleasant as the first. They had a new young lad working there. Didnt catch his name but he had ginger hair. He was very helpful and polite with us. I was being fussy and didnt want my steak to arrive on a cast iron skillet and he checked with the kitchen for me to see if it was fine to have it on a normal plate (it was). The steak was beautiful. Wouldnt say it was worth 20 but I enjoyed it.

Had an amazing meal here tonight, the food was top class, the staff were brilliant and so friendly, especially Stephanie. Quality good and a really good price. Really enjoyed the Sundee - thank you
